How Do I Pick The Right Class For My Needs?

The Lotus has a large offering of classes. Start with something you love, that interests you or an area in your life you wish to see improvements. If you are still unsure feel free to give us a call or stop by the front desk and we will find the perfect fit for you.

What Do You Recommend If My Mind Wanders And I Can’t Sit Still?

Meditation is not about simply about silencing the mind. Meditation is about drifting and returning, the process of returning to your intentions is what strengthens the mind. So drifting is not bad, the real challenge is coming back.

How Do I Begin Meditating?

Classes at The Lotus are open to everyone. All levels are welcome to any of our classes & workshops. A new practitioner can experience a class with someone who has been meditating for years and both receive benefits.

What Do I Wear to a Class or Workshop?

We suggest comfy clothes, sweats or yoga gear, although jeans or a suit work just as well. We do request that you remove your shoes, you are welcome to go barefoot or wear your favorite pair of socks.

What Do I Bring To Meditation Classes?

Just yourself and an open mind. In our studio we provide meditation cushions, yoga mats, chairs and benches. You can create the meditation experience that works with your body.

Do I Have to Sit on a Cushion?

It is not required that you sit on a cushion to meditate. At The Lotus Meditation, we understand everyone may not want or be able to meditate on a cushion. Our meditation room is well equipped with chairs that have support backs or benches for additional seating. For those who wish to use a cushion, we have custom Zabatons, Zafus and body along with neck bolsters to help you with your meditation practice. Have your own cushion? Feel free to bring your own favorite cushion.

What Happens if I am Late?

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your class or workshop. Once the session is started and the doors are closed no one will be allowed to enter. Come early and enjoy a cup of tea!

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Please cancel 12 hours prior to the start of classes and 24 hours for Healing Sessions and Workshops.
